As Josephites we are called to live justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our God
The Scriptures describe Joseph as a just man.
Josephite justice takes up the call of the Gospel to be signs and effective instruments in the world of the Mission of God - to further God's reign of truth and light, holiness and grace, justice, love and peace.
Josephite social justice promotes the fullness of life, the empowerment of communities and the integrity of creation. It brings the light of the Gospel to bear on the social issues we find grounded in the experience of our Sisters in ministry and questions systems that cause suffering and that marginalise people.
Inspired by our Josephite charism our actions express our preference to be among the poor, and to give a voice to the destitute, the vulnerable and the oppressed.

It is imperative that we create welcome spaces for new and different voices to enter the melody (Central Acts of Chapter 2007).
We who have taken up the task of the first Sisters of St Joseph must press on into each age as it unfolds in a like spirit of daring, strong in our commitment to love. Drawing on the past, we will never take refuge in the past, but together, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, we will confront the world of the future fearlessly, to bend that future to the dynamic purpose of the Creator (Federation Constitutions: A Future and a Hope, p.46).
The “dignity of all people impels us to work collaboratively”
