Southern Sudan - Pray and be in solidarity

Sudan faces an election on January 9 and Southern Sudan will vote to either stay united with Sudan or to secede and form a new country. 

Devastating civil war has raged in Sudan for 40 of the last 55 years and it currently has the highest number of Internally Displaced People in the world. An estimated 4.9 million Only 56% of the population have access to clean drinking water.

You are invited to pray for a successful and peaceful election. Consider joining in the 101 days of prayer for a peaceful referendum.  This began on September 21 but it is not too late to start praying. Form a group or an agreement with others to pray the prayer each day.
