Introduction
Josephites in all their ministries have always had a special concern for the spiritual as well as the physical and intellectual development of those with whom they minister. In recent years, as the global society has continued to develop and individuals are often left to themselves to find meaning in their lives a deep hunger for access to the spiritual has become obvious.
Josephite centres of spirituality have developed to meet some of these needs. Initially many of these centres were focused on the formation of the Sisters but all have extended their ministry to a much wider range of participants. Some of the centres also offer conference facilities in a an environment that promotes a reflective atmosphere. A number of Sisters have trained as spiritual directors and others have further developed their skill as facilitators and adult faith educators. Some centres are focused on the life and spiritualty of Mary MacKillop.
